Letter: Only vote for candidates who take truth pledge

How do we know which politicians to trust? Look for those who have taken the Pro-Truth Pledge (www.Protruthpledge.org), which is a grass-roots effort to build the public discourse on a foundation of facts.

The pledge-takers have pledged to share, honor and encourage the truth, to hold themselves to high ethical standards when it comes to fact-based claims. If you want elected officials who you can trust, look for those who have taken the pledge. If you’re considering voting for a candidate who hasn’t taken the pledge, ask yourself why. Better yet, ask them why they haven’t. While you’re at it, take the pledge yourself, and help contribute to this effort.
