My answer to this week’s question is a resounding “Yes.”
When I think of parks that I have visited — whether national treasures like Mt. Rainier or urban spaces like Central Park — I recognize that what I enjoy are places that previous generations preserved, and I am very grateful for their foresight in doing so. Proposition 14-7 gives us a chance to create a lasting legacy for the future here in Benton county.
The cost is minimal: approximately $12 a year for the average household. One dollar a month is less than the price of a cup of coffee or bottle of pop but combined with funds raised across the county could provide almost a million dollars a year for conservation. What a bargain.
Please support Proposition 14-7.
