Yes, I’m in favor of this small property tax to establish the Conservation Futures fund in Benton County. No one likes an additional tax, but the fact is that we have to make an investment to create our own future. If we let fate determine our future for us, all we will be left with in the end are questions about how we ended up where we did. No slogans or exclamation points will brand us and make us unique. This is our opportunity to show to the world that we care about the place we live in and are willing to work to make it better. And in doing so we attract people that likewise care and are willing. This is the stuff of legacy, bigger than you and me, and your children will thank you for it.
