Kiwanis Club of Kelso Longview donates $5K to Nippon victims

The Kiwanis Club of Kelso Longview has donated $5,000 to the Longshoremen's Federal Credit Union account that benefits families of Nippon victims following the fatal May 26 chemical spill.

The club also donated $1,000 to the Cowlitz Chaplaincy, as they have expenses from their counseling and care.

"We are all encouraged by how loving and giving our entire community has shown themselves to be," said President Wayne Lunday in a statement.
