Primary ballots being mailed this week

Ballots for Washington's Aug. 19 primary election started being mailed Tuesday, area county auditors said.

Ballots must be postmarked no later than Aug. 19 or turned in at an official drop-off location before 8 p.m. that day.

Benton County voters can drop off their ballots at the following Benton County Auditor's Office locations: the Prosser courthouse, 620 Market St.; 5600 W. Canal Place in Kennewick; and 101 Wellsian Way, Suite E, Richland.

Franklin County voters can drop off ballots at the following Pasco locations: the TRAC center, 6600 Burden Boulevard; Franklin County Courthouse, 1016 N. Fourth Ave.; and the Franklin County annex building, 404 W. Clark St.
