All Pasco kindergarteners will have access to all-day kindergarten starting this fall.
The state superintendent’s office “has confirmed that funding will be provided to extend all-day kindergarten to Markham, McGee, McClintock, Franklin, Livingston and Angelou elementary schools, making the program available at all Pasco elementary schools,” a school district news release said.
Morning-only sessions still will be available for families who wish to stay in a half-day program, although parents will be responsible for mid-day transportation, the release said.
Families already registered for kindergarten will receive a letter from the district with more information soon, and those newly registering will receive more information as they sign up. Those who haven’t yet registered are encouraged to do so as soon as possible at the Booth Building, 1215 W. Lewis St.
