The following students have been awarded a $3,000 Presidential Scholarship to Eastern Washington University for the 2015-16 Academic Year. To qualify, admitted students must have a 3.8 or higher cumulative high school GPA or 1250+SAT/28+ ACT.
Courtney Hall, Kamiakin High School. She will graduate this spring and plans to study Elementary Education beginning this fall at Eastern. She is active in extra-curricular activities such as soccer, tennis, Link Crew and Young Life.
Rachael Pickard, Kamiakin High School. She has been involved in the National Honor Society, Track/Field and choir.
Jordan Westphal, Southridge High School. Will graduate this spring from Southridge, where he has been involved in Buddy Club – a club where you support special needs students.
Norma Aguilera-Vazquez, Chiawana High School. She has been involved in the National Honor Society, MECHA, Key Club, Link Crew and secretary of Gear Up Ambassadors.
Anna Smith, Richland High School. Anna is active in basketball, track & field and the National Honor Society at Richland High, where she will graduate this spring. She also volunteers with the Humane Society, March of Dimes and Angel Tree.
Alison Dobken, Hanford High School. Will graduate this spring Plans to study business administration at Eastern. At Hanford, she was varsity cheer captain, executive vice president of student council and a member of the National Honor Society.
