Four educators are in the running to be the new superintendent for Kiona-Benton City schools.
They are: JoAnne Fabian, chief academic officer of the Tukwila School District; Mark Heid, superintendent of the Goldendale School District; Christopher Nesmith, career and technical education director/superintendent intern in the West Valley School District; and Peter Peterson, director of assessment and student services in the Walla Walla School District.
A public forum is planned at 6:30 p.m. May 17 at Kiona-Benton City High School to hear from the finalists, who were announced this week by the school board.
The next superintendent is expected to be named by May 21.
The person selected will replace Wade Haun, who's resigning in June after about four years as superintendent.
Educational Service District 123 is coordinating the search for a new Ki-Be superintendent.
