A Pasco man was hospitalized early Sunday after he fell asleep while driving his SUV four miles west of the Oregon border.
David Z. Castillo, 24, was taken to Trios Southridge Hospital in Kennewick for treatment, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Castillo was westbound on Interstate 82 in his 1998 GMC Suburban when he lost control. The SUV rolled, coming to a stop on its wheels, the state patrol reported.
He was wearing a seat belt in the 4:05 a.m. crash.
The state patrol cited Castillo with second-degree negligent driving, the report said.
