Drowning was the cause of death of a Kennewick toddler found in a hot tub earlier this week, officials said Saturday.
Gage Percifield, 2, was discovered underwater Wednesday at a home in the 4800 block of West Ninth Avenue. He was taken to the emergency room at Trios Southridge Hospital in Kennewick, but could not be revived.
Dr. Sig Menchel performed the autopsy on Saturday. The forensic pathologist from Bellevue determined that the drowning was an accident, said Roy McLean, Benton County’s chief deputy coroner.
Gage is the son of Lisa and Jeremy Percifield of Kennewick. Einan’s at Sunset, Richland, is in charge of arrangements.
