Police are looking for a 36-year-old man in connection to a Sunday break-in at two auto-related businesses in Kennewick.

Christopher Douglas Wissman is 5-foot-11 and weighs 230 pounds. He has brown hair and blue eyes and has tattoos on his left shoulder and right leg.

Wissman is wanted by the state corrections department on a warrant after he escaped from community custody, a release said.

He also is considered one of the suspects who entered Auto Shades window tinting at 525 Edison St. and then tried to get into Traffic Jams car stereo store next door by breaking through a wall. That effort, however, set off Traffic Jams’ alarm.

The suspects fled the scene in Traffic Jams vehicles that were parked at the Auto Shades’ building, police said. The vehicles have since been recovered.

Anyone with information on the break-in is asked to call the Tri-Cities Crime Stoppers tip line at 509-586-8477 or 800-222-8477. Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information in the case. All calls are confidential.
