The trial for an alleged Pasco gang member accused of killing a Kennewick father in a hit-and-run crash is set for later this year.
Miguel A. Paniagua, 23, appeared Friday in Franklin County Superior Court, where a judge set his vehicular homicide trial for Nov. 9.
Paniagua is accused of killing Jason E. Smith, 36, during the April 2 crash. Police say Paniagua fled a traffic stop and torpedoed into Smith’s car moments later.
Smith was on his way to the post office.
Paniagua is charged with four felonies related to the crash.
