The Franklin County Coroner’s Office released an image Tuesday of a tattoo on the body of a man who was found floating in the Columbia River.
The red and black symbol is on the man’s left chest under the collar bone. Authorities are hopeful the tattoo will lead to someone identifying him.
The man was found June 6 downriver from the cable bridge near Sacajawea State Park. The coroner’s office is trying to identify the man through dental records and DNA testing.
Coroner Dan Blasdel has said it’s unclear how the man died. The man was 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighed about 165 pounds.
Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Chief Deputy Coroner Candice Hermanson at 509-546-5887.
