Fourteen people were picked Thursday afternoon to serve as jurors in the murder trial of a Connell man.
Fernando Gonzalez, 19, is charged in Franklin County Superior Court with second-degree murder and possession of a stolen gun.
Prosecutors claim he killed John Bounhomsavanh after the 32-year-old Pasco man and his two friends knocked on the front door of a Connell apartment and it flew open.
Gonzalez claims he was acting in self-defense when he fired at the group.
Opening statements are scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Friday, followed by witnesses testimony. The jury panel includes two alternates.
