A Pasco woman was injured after a sport utility vehicle struck her Wednesday while she was crossing Court Street, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Samantha N. Morris, 18, was struck by a 2015 Nissan Pathfinder, driven by Troy W. Klemo, 39, of Maple Valley, state patrol said. Klemo turned right on Court Street after exiting Highway 395 north at 6:29 p.m. Klemo didn’t yield to Morris, who was in the crosswalk, state patrol said.
Morris was taken to Lourdes Medical Center in Pasco. State patrol said Klemo, who was not injured, was cited for failure to yield the right of way.
