A vehicle believed to be involved in a March 4 homicide in Hermiston has been seized in Los Angeles.
A Hermiston police detective and captain flew to California on Sunday to help California crime lab officials with the processing of the vehicle, said Hermiston police.
Alonso Madrigal, 23, may have been killed because of an ongoing dispute, police have said. His shooting was the first homicide in Hermiston in three years.
Specific information about the vehicle may be released later, officials said. The vehicle was seized March 18 after detectives from Hermiston contacted detectives in California asking for assistance in finding the vehicle.
Anyone with information about Madrigal’s death is asked to call Capt. Travis Eynon at 541-667-5103.
