A 21-year-old Umatilla woman was arrested in connection with several daytime burglaries in the Hermiston area.
Carol C. Mendoza is accused of breaking into a home in the 500 block of West Ridgeway Avenue on June 7. Officials say she's also suspected of being involved in a burglary in the 700 block of West Tamarack Avenue in early December.
Hermiston Police Chief Jason Edmiston said investigators don't believe Mendoza was acting alone, but they don't have enough evidence to implicate anyone else.
"We also believe Ms. Mendoza and her accomplice may be responsible for several other unsolved daylight burglaries we have experienced," Edmiston said.
Mendoza was booked into the Umatilla County jail on suspicion of first-degree burglary, attempted first-degree burglary and third-degree criminal mischief.
