RICHLAND — Snatching the tip jar from a Richland Starbucks landed a Kennewick man in jail Sunday.

Evan W. Archibald, 18, was arrested on suspicion of second-degree robbery. Police say he stole the tip jar from the counter of Starbucks at 698 Gage Blvd. about 2 p.m.

Richland Police say Archibald punched the store manager in the face when he was confronted and then ran.

Police officers later arrested Archibald in connection with the theft after they found him in central Richland driving the vehicle described by witnesses, according to a news release.
