Kennewick police make arrests in Southridge vandalism

KENNEWICK -- Kennewick police responded to numerous complaints Friday of houses and vehicles being egged and rocks thrown through vehicle windows, the Kennewick police reported.

Officials and Southridge High School reported an egging and two rocks thrown through their front windows. The vandalism appears to have focused between Fourth Avenue and Vancouver Street and Fourth and Cleveland Street, police said.

Kennewick police checked video surveillance at stores in the area and discovered four suspects who purchased eggs just before the incidents occurred.

All four suspects, who were not identified, were apprehended by police. All were male and from Kennewick and ranged in age from 13 to 16 years old. Police they were charged with first-degree malicious mischief, authorities said.
