A 23-year-old man wanted on six warrants is behind bars for allegedly crashing into a front yard after speeding along a canal road and missing a curve.
Arron J. Garrett of Prosser was arrested Friday evening.
Sunnyside police said Garrett was speeding down Northwest Crescent Road when his 1996 Honda Civic missed a curve along the canal and continued going straight.
Evidence at the site showed that the Honda almost went into the canal but ended up across Northwest Crescent, where it hopped a curb and glanced off a tree before stalling on a residential lawn in the 500 block of Thompson Drive, said Charlotte Hinderlider, Sunnyside police spokeswoman.
