Motel employee faces trial for alleged indecent liberties

A Days Inn employee faces a Feb. 9 trial on charges he lured a co-worker into a motel room and made sexual advances on the woman until she got away.

Raymundo Lino Gonzalez, 45, pleaded innocent Wednesday in Benton County Superior Court to one count of indecent liberties, a felony.

Gonzalez and the victim, a 31-year-old Kennewick woman, both worked at the 2811 W. Second Ave. motel in Kennewick.

On Nov. 21, Gonzalez allegedly lured the woman into one of the hotel's rooms, closed the door and forced her onto the bed. Gonzalez then "got on top of her and started kissing her and grabbing her," said court documents.

After four attempts to push Gonzalez off of her, the woman was able to escape, documents said. She asked for help from another employee, who called 911. She was not hurt in the assault.

Gonzalez of Pasco was arrested at the hotel. He has since posted $5,000 bail.

Prosecutors allege that both video footage and co-workers corroborate the victim's version of events.
