Kennewick man charged in Wal-Mart robbery

Bail is set at $100,000 for a Kennewick man accused of attacking two Pasco Wal-Mart employees who confronted him about an alleged shoplifting.

John Henry Rosser IV, 26, pleaded innocent to first-degree robbery. His trial in Franklin County Superior Court is Jan. 14.

Court documents claim Rosser was shopping Nov. 14 when he tried to leave the Road 68 store without paying for $338 in merchandise.

When the two employees identified themselves and told him to stop, he kneed and elbowed them, documents said. One employee was hurt.

Rosser then allegedly threatened to stab the employees and pulled out a knife. He fled with some of the merchandise, documents said.
