Kennewick police looking for robber who pepper sprayed a gas station clerk

Kennewick police are looking for a man who pepper sprayed a convenience store clerk and grabbed the cash drawer.

The man went into the Grand Central Coffee Station on Clearwater Avenue just before 3:45 a.m. sprayed the clerk and grabbed the money before running away, Kennewick police reported.

Officers surrounded the area and brought in a police dog to track the man, police said. The dog found the till and the money, but the robber got away.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Kennewick police through the non-emergency dispatch number at 509-628-0333.
