Two teens were attacked by strangers on 10th Avenue early Friday morning, leaving one girl with a broken shoulder.
Kennewick police are hunting for a trio of suspects in a light-colored Chevy Impala near the Trios Women's and Children's hospital shortly after midnight. They stopped a 16-year-old girl and a 19-year-old man who were walking home, Sgt. Aaron Clem said.
The woman behind the wheel began yelling at the girl on the sidewalk. When the 19-year-old tried to intervene, the man in the car threw a beer bottle at him, cutting his face.
After the fight, the group got back into the car, and started to drive away. Then they turned around, and slammed into the girl from behind, throwing her about 15 feet into a light pole.
The two teens told officers they didn't know who attacked them.
Witnesses caught the end of the fight on cellphones. If you recognize the car, or know the suspects contact Kennewick police at 509-628-0333.
