A Pasco man broke into a house and fired a pistol, hitting the bed the victim and his estranged wife were sharing.
The Benton County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call at 2:42 a.m. on Friday concerning a gun being fired at a home in the 48000 block of South Carrol Lane Pr Southeast in Finley.
David J. Gillman, 32, of Finley, told investigators the suspect reportedly forced his way into Gillman’s home and fired one shot from a semi-automatic pistol, said Sgt. Det. Bob Brockman. The bullet struck the bed near Gillman’s head where he and a woman were lying.
The suspect and the woman left Gillman’s home and were stopped by Pasco police in the area of West Argent Place and Road 44 in Pasco.
The suspected was identified as Korey Michael Lancaster, 33, of Pasco. The woman is Lancaster’s estranged wife, said Brockman.
Lancaster was arrested on suspicion of second-degree assault and first-degree burglary.
He does not have a criminal record, and no longer lives with his estranged wife. The couple has not filed for divorce.
