A Kennewick man tried to outrun police early Thursday but was caught at an apartment complex.
Eric Nieto, 26, of Kennewick, was arrested on suspicion of obstructing police, trespassing and on a state Department of Corrections warrant, Sgt. Ken Lattin said.
Police received a call about a man wearing a gray sweatshirt acting suspiciously about 3:45 a.m.
When police tried to stop Nieto, who seemed to match that description, he reportedly ran about 200 yards before officers caught him.
He was allegedly carrying a MasterCard for Packers Sanitation, and police were investigating why he had the card.
