The Benton-Franklin Health District urges local parents to beat the back-to-school rush and schedule vaccinations for their children now.
“The week before school starts is an especially busy time for vaccines, and clients often end up waiting much longer than they anticipate,” said Heather Hill, supervisor of clinic services.
“No one enjoys getting a shot, but having to sit and wait for an extended period of time makes it even less enjoyable.”
The health district provides vaccinations for children and adults by appointment. Walk-ins will be served on a first-come, first-served basis. Pediatricians and family physicians can also provide vaccines.
