Little Goose Dam’s navigation lock has returned to summer-schedule service after repairs to the downstream gate controls were completed.
The lock was temporarily placed partially out of service July 29-30 from 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. to accommodate contractors working on the control system.
The lock was open for service in the evenings on those days from 7 p.m. through 6:30 a.m. to allow river traffic to pass.
The Corps’ Walla Walla and Portland districts maintain about 350 miles of the federal inland navigation channel from Portland, Ore. to Lewiston, Idaho.
