Brother Gilberto Perez leads a prayer Thursday at John Dam Plaza before the Pacific Northwest Interfaith Peace Walk.
Organized by monks of the Nipponzan Myohoji Buddhist Temple on Bainbridge Island, the walk, from John Dam Plaza to the Hanford gates, was one of many through Washington and Oregon.
With the upcoming 70th anniversary of the atomic bombing in Hiroshima and Nagasaki we want to continue our message for peace and the abolition of nuclear weapons,” said Brother Perez.
