The Pacific Northwest Interfaith Peace Walk will visit Richland on July 30.
The walk, through cities in Washington and Oregon, is organized by monks of the Nipponzan Myohoji Buddhist Temple on Bainbridge Island. It’s a prayer walk for peace and abolition of nuclear weapons.
The Richland segment of the walk starts at 1 p.m. at John Dam Plaza and will head north on George Washington Way to the Hanford 300 Area gate. The distance is six miles and anyone is welcome to join.
A support vehicle will provide rides and water, and walkers will carpool for the return trip.
