Allegro Cyclery and the Blue Mountain Land Trust plans three bicycle tours beginning at 11 a.m. June 6 at Wildwood Park in Walla Walla.
Each tour is catered to varying ages and interests. Members of the public, of any age and of any skill level are encouraged to attend.
One ride, catered to families, youth and children, will be a 7-mile, out-and-back course. Participants will take a gentle uphill ride along Mill Creek to Rooks Park. The tour will take approximately one hour.
Participants may also enjoy a 17-mile course through vineyards and by tasting rooms. Riders will travel at a pace of roughly 12 miles per hour, and the tour is expected to take about 90 minutes.
The third option is a 24-mile course affording great views of the Blue Mountains and valley. The ride borders wheat fields and vineyards. The ride will be about two hours long, averaging a speed of 15 miles per hour. There will be a few gradual or short climbs.
All rides start and end at Wildwood Park. Riders under 18 years old may participate for free, and other admission prices vary. Visit www.bmlt.org to learn more or RSVP.
