A toddler was killed late Monday afternoon when he was struck by a truck driven by his father at a Franklin County home.
The death of Quinn Axel Kysar, who turned 1 in April, has been ruled an accident, according to the Franklin County Coroner’s Office.
Quinn was in the backyard of a home on West Sagemoor Road when the truck, driven by his father, hit him about 4:25 p.m., said Harold Livingston, deputy coroner.
The father was apparently doing sod work when the accident happened. Family members were around.
No autopsy is scheduled.
Fire crews and the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office responded to the accident, staying with a crowd gathered at the house until after 6 p.m.
The crowd appeared to be holding a prayer service in the side yard of the home.
