Washington Secretary of State Kim Wyman will tour Mid-Columbia Libraries’ west Pasco branch when she visits the Tri-Cities on May 21.
Wyman’s office oversees the Washington State Library, which works with library systems around the state on various projects and initiatives. The secretary will meet with library officials after a 9 a.m. tour of the branch, the newest in the multicounty library district, a release said.
Wyman was scheduled to visit the region weeks ago before calling off her trip because of illness. Library officials aren’t expected to raise specific issues with her during the visit, said Davin Diaz, spokesman for Mid-Columbia Libraries, but rather take the opportunity to discuss matters affecting all libraries.
