RICHLAND -- The Richland City Council is accepting applications from residents interested in serving on its planning commission.
Applicants must be Richland residents. They are strongly recommended to have a general knowledge of the council's community priorities and a desire to be involved with land-use development.
A background in urban planning, architecture, transportation, civil engineering, geology or economic development is desirable. Participation in the community and time availability also will be considered.
The commission meets the fourth Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m.
The term of appointment is until March 1, 2015.
