A Connell man was injured Friday in a Moses Lake when the pickup he was driving was hit from behind by a by a semi tractor as he was stopped at a stop light, causing a chain reaction that involved five vehicles, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Taylor Johnson, 27, was taken to Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake along with three other people in the crash, including the truck driver, who was from Spokane.
Johnson’s pickup ran into a Toyota Prius in front of it, which ran into a minivan in front of it, which ran into a Volkswagen Jetta in front of it. All were stopped on Highway 17 at the intersection of Nelson Road.
Kimberly Huwe, 47, of Kennewick, was driving the Jetta and was not injured. Samaritan Hospital declined to release the condition of any of the patients.
