The National Weather Service is working with local emergency management officials to provide free weather spotter training.
The Skywarn Weather Spotter training will be at 6:30 p.m. April 14 at the Benton Emergency Operations Center, 651 Truman Ave. in Richland, as well as at 10 a.m. May 6 at the Franklin Emergency Operations Center, 502 Boeing St. in Pasco.
The two-hour course will include information about the National Weather Service, and identifying tornadoes, thunderstorms, flash floods, dust storms, high winds and winter storms. Students who complete the course will receive a training certificate.
