Pasco library reopens Thursday with ceremony

Library patrons will have the opportunity to win a Kindle E-Reader and visit with Dora the Explorer when Mid-Columbia Libraries reopens its Pasco branch on Thursday.

The branch at 1320 Hopkins St. across from Memorial Park has been closed since Thanksgiving for a $140,000 renovation. New shelving, furniture, technology upgrades and art are among the improvements.

Re-opening ceremonies will begin at 10:30 a.m. The event is free and will include entertainment from the Pasco High Mariachi Band and refreshments.
