A fundraiser is planned Friday for a Kennewick family displaced by an arson fire.
Yoplicity Frozen Yogurt in Kennewick is donating 20 percent of yogurt sales to those who say, “This is for the Dryden family.” Doors open at noon Friday.
Angela and Darrin Dryden’s Palouse Street home was damaged Oct. 18 and most of their belongings were destroyed. “(They) can’t move back in anytime soon,” said Kennewick police.
Yoplicity also is plans a late-night closing party with the Tri-City Outlaws, a junior hockey team. The Outlaws take on the visiting Fort Vancouver Vipers at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Toyota Arena. Three dollars from every ticket sold will be going to the Dryden family.
After the game, both teams will be available for a meet and greet and for autographs at Yoplicity starting about 10:30 p.m.
Yoplicity Frozen Yogurt is at 4309 W. 27th Place, off Union Street, in Kennewick.
Donations also can be made directly to an account set up for the Drydens at Banner Bank.
