A couple was recently released from the hospital after being shot in Walla Walla last weekend.
A 22-year-old woman and 18-year-old male were each shot one time and were wounded by shrapnel during the shooting, said Walla Walla police spokesman Tim Bennett.
Police did not release the names of the victims. No one has been arrested and the motive for the shooting is unclear, Bennett said.
The couple was in a car near Sixth Avenue and Moore Street when they were shot, Bennett said. They crashed into a building as they tried to avoid the shots.
Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the Walla Walla Police Department at 509-524-4381.
