The temperature hit 100 degrees Sunday in the Tri-Cities, as measured at the Pasco airport, according to the National Weather Service.
Today should be hotter.
The weather service has issued a heat advisory for the Mid-Columbia from noon today to 10 p.m. Tuesday.
A high of about 105 degrees is expected today in the Tri-Cities with a slight chance of thundershowers. Tuesday should be nearly as hot, with a high of 104 degrees.

Wednesday and the Fourth of July temperatures will drop only a couple of degrees, with highs of about 101 degrees likely, the weather service said.
Temperatures then should drop to the low 90s, which is closer to normal, Friday and Saturday.
