The body of fallen soldier Spc. 4 Robby Wayne Ellis was returned to the Tri-Cities on Saturday.
Several blocks were lined with Tri-City-area residents who turned out to show their respects and display flags along the route from Bergstrom Aircraft in Pasco to Desert Lawn Memorial Park in Kennewick.
"It was so amazing," said Julie Walters, a member of the American Citizens Encouraging Support group, or ACES, who rode on the back of one of the motorcycles in the processional. The Patriot Guard Riders was among those participating in the processional.
Ellis, 21, who grew up in Kennewick, was killed June 18 in Afghanistan when insurgents attacked the Bagram Air Base.
