The playground at the Southridge Sports and Events Complex in Kennewick will close July 1 and 2 while a gazebo is moved -- a first step in the Carousel of Dreams construction project.
A crane will be used to move the gazebo, a city news release said. The complex’s aquatic playground also is closed for the summer as the carousel construction goes forward, the release said.
Three other aquatic playgrounds in the city are open from 10 a.m. to dusk through Labor Day weekend. They are: in Columbia Park next to the Playground of Dreams, at Highlands Grange Park at 1600 S. Union St., and at Underwood Park at 2020 W. Seventh Ave.
The Southridge sports complex is at 2901 Southridge Blvd.
