A 24-year-old woman and her passenger were injured Sunday afternoon when their car left Highway 12 and hit the railroad tracks in Touchet after the driver fell asleep.
Sara C. Kawchack was behind the wheel of the 1995 Subaru Legacy at the time of the 4:14 p.m. crash, according to a Washington State Patrol report.
The Subaru had been eastbound on 12, within the Touchet city limits, when it left the roadway to the right and struck the tracks, the State Patrol said.
Kawchack, 24, reportedly was cited for negligent driving.

The Carson City, Nev., woman and passenger Daniel S. Anglin, 26, of Walla Walla were taken to Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Walla Walla.
Both Kawchack and Anglin were wearing seat belts in the crash, the report said.
