BOARDMAN -- A Port of Morrow official said the northeastern Oregon port expects to soon close a deal with data hosting specialist Rackspace for a land purchase at the port.
A Portland newspaper reported the purchase price is expected to be almost $2 million, with the 99 acres to be used for a large data center.
Port Manager Gary Neal said the port expects to close the deal within two weeks.
The site is near Boardman, about 50 miles south of the Tri-Cities.
