KENNEWICK, Wash. -- Tri-City veterans can receive help connecting with services at a benefits fair and "stand down" on 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at WorkSource Columbia Basin's Kennewick office.
A "stand down" is a community-based intervention program providing services and resources designed to help veterans get back on their feet. More than 40 community agencies that provide services for veterans will be at the fair at 815 N. Kellogg St.
Free services for those in need will be provided in VA claims processing, dental hygiene, medical counseling and clothing issues.
Project Warm-Up will be providing red, white and blue hats and blankets made by the group's volunteers.
