Drivers near Burbank should be prepared for delays over the Snake River bridge on Highway 12.
Work to put down fiber optic cable across the bridge is forcing the closure of the right lane on westbound Highway 12 over the bridge for three weeks, said Washington Department of Transportation officials.
The closure started this week.
The lane will be closed from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, officials said. All lanes will be open on the weekends.
The work, being completed by a contractor for the Northwest Open Access Network, is scheduled to be completed Aug. 17.
Electronic message boards, cones and barrels will direct westbound traffic into the left lane through the work zone.
