Crews respond to fire near Highway 14 west of Paterson

A natural cover fire has burned about 300 acres Tuesday near Glade Creek, a tributary of the Columbia River west of Paterson, Wash.

Rolland Watt, chief of Benton County Fire District #6, reports the fire has multiple points of origin along Highway 14. Cause of the blaze, near Sand Piper Farm, is under investigation.

Crews fighting the fire include Benton County districts 1, 2, 4 and 6, along with the Richland Fire Department.
