David Tuck, a longtime Southridge High School employee, was found dead at his home Wednesday.
Tuck, 60, was expected at a staff celebration party at the high school Wednesday but didn't show up, said Lorraine Cooper, spokeswoman for the Kennewick School District.
A family member was contacted, went to his home and found him, Cooper said. Further details about his death were not immediately available.
Tuck worked for the district for about 30 years, mostly at Southridge, but also at Park Middle School, and retired three years ago. He returned to work for the district as part of the district's program of rehiring retired employees on limited contracts.
He served as Southridge's information technology and library support specialist and also as an adviser to the school's yearbook class. Cooper said he retired again at the end of the school year.
"He was very loved and well-liked," she said.
