The Port of Pasco seeks applications from citizens interested in serving on the port commission.
The commission will appoint a person to serve on the board representing Commission District 2 until the 2013 general election.
To be eligible, a person must be a qualified voter and live in District 2, which includes Pasco west of the blue bridge and southwest Franklin County. Exact boundaries of Port Commission District 2 are at the Franklin County Auditor's office in the Franklin County Courthouse in Pasco.
The new commission district boundaries adopted Nov. 10, 2011, will be used in the appointment process.
Applicants must submit a letter declaring their interest, a resume of their experience and qualifications, a verification of residency and voter qualifications from the Franklin County Auditor's office to the Port of Pasco, P.O. Box 769, Pasco, WA 99301.
Letters of interest will be accepted until 2:30 p.m. Monday. The commission will review the applicants and conduct a public interview of top candidates.
