House of Joy Orphanage & Girls Sanctuary, a nonprofit group that partners with the Moses Lake Medical Team, is looking to send basic care items to orphans in Africa.
Donations needed included girls clothes, shoes, hand sanitizer, toothbrushes, toothpaste, fitted sheets, mattress pads for twin beds, first aid supplies, hygiene products, hair supplies, kitchen items, school supplies, and seeds and tools for a vegetable garden.
House of Joy also is collecting bras for women and teens as well as prescription eye glasses and sunglasses for adults and children.
Last fall, University of Washington student Brittney Colgan-Ball and her mother, Christy Ball of Kennewick, help with the state's "Support the Ta-Tas" bra drive.
